20 Blogs I Am Subscribed To

great blogs

by Patrick Toerner on April 28, 2010

I am subscribed to quite a lot of blogs.  It seems I can never read enough stuff. So I want to share with you guys some of these blogs.

I am not going to put in huge name blogs like ProBlogger, because I wanna try to expand your blog horizons. Some of these blogs have thousands of subscribers and some have closer to 10, but in my opinion they are all great blogs.  A lot of these are comluv enabled too, so you can get a free backlink. So here are some recent blog posts of 20 blogs that I am subscribed to, in no particular order:

1. ViperChill
Viper Chill
ViperChill is Glen Allsopp’s blog where he just writes about what he does.  Glen makes literally thousands of dollars per month, and shares how he does it on his blog.  His blog isn’t even monetized! (Aside from his book, Cloud Living)  He has a great tone to his writing, and really believe that anyone can achieve what he has with hard work and dedication.  Watch this kid, he is going places.
2. Website In A Weekend

Website In A Weekend

This site has so much great information.  I always find myself searching Google for something and ending up on one of Dave’s pages.  It has everything from blogging tips, theme help, life advice, and a lot more blogging tips!  Dave really is a good writer, I encourage you guys to go check this site out.
3. Steve Scott Site
Steve Scott Site
Steve is a real down to earth guy.  His site is all about life improvement and blogging.  He is just about to grab a one way ticket to Spain and travel and update his blog.  He is quite an inspiration as well as a great writer.  Make sure you check this guy out.
4. The InfoPreneur
The InfoPreneur
If you haven’t heard  of TheInfoPreneur, then listen up!  This blog is great.  James updates it at least twice a day with amazing content.  He is your average Joe sort of guy who works 40 hours a week at his day job, and every minute besides that on his blog.  He is also one of the few bloggers to frequently post video posts.  James is a really smart guy, read a few of his posts and you will be hooked.
5. Ben Lang
Ben Lang
Ben Lang is a 16-year-old kid who has wisdom beyond his years.  He has been interview by Newspapers, TV news shows, and tons of bloggers.  He really makes me wish I could go back and start blogging when I was 16 years old.  The information he shares is great if you are a young entrepreneur like I am.
6. Famous Bloggers
Famous Bloggers
Famous bloggers is a site where a bunch of great bloggers get together and post awesome articles.  These guys really know their stuff, so anytime a new article is posted you know it is going to be a good one.  If you haven’t yet heard of Famous Blogger, then you have been missing out!
7. Dat Money
Dat Money
Jay at Dat Money writes great content.  There is nothing more to it than that: He writes great content and not in a boring way.  He has gained a lot of readers from this, and I am one!
8. Erin Blaskie
Erin Blaskie
Erin Blaskie is like wonder woman.  It seems like she knows everything about everything.  She runs a VA assistant business, writes ebooks in matters of hours, has a self-proclaimed love affair with internet marketing, and as far as I can tell a social media wiz.  She is definitely one to look out for.
9. Get Your Biz Savvy
Get Your Biz Savvy
Get Your Biz Savvy has a great team of writers who really inspire me to do entrepreneurial stuff every time I read a post.  They also have an interview every week with a successful entrepreneur.  The site does not focus on blogging in particular, but business in general.  This blog is a good read!
10. Experiments In Passive Income
Experiments In Passive Income
Moon is a cool chick.  She is determined to make a passive income so she can travel to wherever her heart desires.  Her posts are awesome, she is either showing you a useful tool, giving you some blogging tips, or updating us on a way to make a passive income.  She really does write great, in-depth articles, so go check them out!
11. Blogussion
Blogussion
Blogussion is one of the go to blogs for young entrepreneurs (It is also great if you aren’t quite considered young anymore).  Alex is their main contributor and, as well as being a really nice guy, he produces great content.  Every article posted on Blogussion I leave a comment on because each one strikes a chord with me.
12. Unstrappd
Unstrappd
Their tagline is how Gen-Y does business and Unstrappd delivers.  It is the brainchild of Bradley Will, but many other young entrepreneurs write posts for Unstrappd as well, on their expertise.  When you go there, you will get great interviews, social media strategy, self-improvement, lists of great blogs, and basically anything you could want to help improve your online business.
13. Escaping the 9 to 5
Escaping the 9 to 5
This is actually a blog that i recently subscribed to, but so far I love it.  Maren writes with such passion, I always am in a go-getter mood after reading her posts.  Even more importantly, her posts are not boring! She doesn’t write the same old stuff in the same old way.  Check this site out!
14. Agent Deepak
Agent Deepak
I have no idea how I found AgentDeepak, but I am glad I did.  Deepak is a really nice guy who really does like helping people.  His site has great content on everything blogging and business.  He also interviews a lot of pretty big name bloggers.
15. Build That List
Build That List
It seems like Tom is in the comment section of every post I read.  I thought because he is always commenting he must have crappy content on his site.  Nope, I was wrong.  He actually has some of the most interesting content of any of the blogs I read.  Definitely check this blog out!
16. Start Breaking Free
Start Breaking Free
This was the first blog I ever subscribed to.  I did it because I read every one of his hundred posts and wanted more!  Brian is living the life, he creates semi-passive income streams and lives all over the world.  He also has an amazing, free ebook on his site about quitting your job and being your own boss.  My blog is based a lot of his, he creates a project and then shows how he does everything step by step on his blog.
17. Lee’s Shizzle Blog
Lee's Shizzle Blog
Lee is a nut!  His content definitely shows it, but it sure as hell makes it interesting to read.  Check this blog out for some good information and a laugh here and there.
18. Hot Blog Tips
Hot Blog Tips
Want great blog tips?  I am sure you do.  Check out Hot Blog Tips! As the name suggest these tips are good.  It is all about blogging, by blogger, and for bloggers.
19. Jack Nguyen
Jack Nguyen
Jack posts so much good content I am surprised he is not a famous blogger yet.  I believe his blog is fairly new, but by no means does that mean he doesn’t know what he is talking about.  I encourage you guys to check out this site, it has tons of great information.
20. One Million By 30
One Million By 30
Even though I am not technically subscribed to One Million By 30, I can’t pass up an opportunity to  self promote.  Let’s see, what to say.  Well let’s start with the obvious, One Million By 30 is arguably the greatest blog in the history of man kind.  The creator is brilliant and extremely modest :)

And that is my list! I read a lot of blogs and have added tons since writing this post.  Maybe I will make a second list sometime soon.

By the way, if you have any blogs you think should be on my list let me know below, I would love to hear about more blogs (even if it is your own!)

Great… I don’t have enough time in the day as it is. lol Now I get more to read. :)

I’m surprised, because a lot of these blogs I have never heard of. That I’m happy for. I get tired of seeing the same ole 10 people promoted and pushed. Give some new guys a break! I will check them out sooner or later. I like finding fresh brains. A lot of Blogs get tired and old and seem to say the same stuff. Gotta keep it going…

Patrick,

I’m flattered to be counted amongst all those other blogs! I’m not sure what to say, other than I hope your users find some good new stuff to read on EIP (as well as the other blogs).

Keep it rockin’, Patrick!

Hey, no worries. I know how it is when sometimes your post frequency just slows down. Other times you want to post 2 times a day. I figure its like a cycle :)

It’s not that I don’t have posts to write about and stuff but I just lack the time because of other priorities. It’s just hard trying to juggle other sites…

First off, thanks for including my site in the list!

Reading a few blogs is a great way to start the morning because you never know when you’ll see a great post and have an “Ah-ha!” moment which will help you out in your own life and business. I already read a few of the sites you’ve listed, but now I have a few more to check out so thanks!

Yeah there always more blogs to read. Blogging is like a web, I feel. This blogger knows about these blogs and another knows about others. They are all connected through a few people. That is where my random picture of a web came from for this post. Anyways, I hope that made sense. I hope you get some new readers from this list :) But you all of my readers are probably your readers too!
