The Guide to Creating, Writing, and Selling an Ebook

by Patrick Toerner on March 1, 2010

This entry is part 1 in the series Creating, Writing, and Selling an Ebook

Recently, I have begun creating an ebook.  Before doing thing, I searched all over the internet to find some information to help me along the way, but I ended up finding very little.  This is why I decided that I will help all who wish to write and sell an ebook.

For those who don’t know, an ebook is an information product, usually helping someone with a common problem.  The ebook is sold exclusively online, otherwise it would just be… a book.  The problems that an ebook solves can be anything, from growing perfect tomatoes to stopping ingrown toenails, basically anything people would like to fix or do better.

I will be bringing you through all the steps of creating an ebook: brainstorming, researching, writing, revisions, setting up the website to sell it, building buzz, getting affiliates to help you sell, keeping the momentum going, and everything else you wish to know.  If you are unsure about something or simply have a question, I encourage you to ask me about it in the comment section below each post. Now let’s get started!

First time here Patrick. Love your site title. I’ve been thinking about putting together an ebook and WILL in the short so I will bookmark your site and subscribe to your feed to try to keep up with your leadership here on the issue. I know what it’s like to search for something online and not be able to find it. Sometimes this is like a pot of Gold if we take advantage of it. I looked and looked for a specifics on a burning issue the other day and could not find the how to ebook or anything on it. I plan on using it to build on.

I’m happy to hear you like the site! I totally, agree: If you are searching for something and can’t find it, then I’m sure other people are searching for it as well. So there is your opportunity.

And this series is probably going to be 10-12 parts, so I hope you get a lot from it!
