How To Network – The No Nonsense Way

So I was stumbling through the the entrepreneurship section of the StumbleUpon toolbar and I found this post: 5 Ways to Be a Quality Networker Without Awkward Follow-Up Calls, by Adam Chavez.  And wow! This is some “so simple, I never would have thought of that” stuff.  I was so impressed I had to tell all of you about it. I even put a picture of an eye to emphasize how great of a post it is!

In this article, Adam Chavez shows why normal networking methods really really suck.  He says that most “networkers” always try to get something from someone else, but if you are the 1 out of 100 networkers that actually help people accomplish their own goals, you will actually build lasting relationships.  So simple, yet so profound.

I can see that with this method of networking, you aren’t self focused, so you will stand out.  People will remember that you actually helped them.  This is how business relationships are built.  Hell, this is how all relationships should be built.  Although I haven’t done much networking at this point in my life (to be exact, none), I plan to, and I will definitely take this article to heart.
